Leaving without spending a fortune is the real challenge. Here's what you need to know.

One change this season: Sunday now counts as a weekend day. So if you want the AED 25 ticket, go between Monday and Thursday. Rules can change during the season, so check the official site on the day you buy.
Where to buy your tickets
You have three options, and they all cost the same:
- The official Global Village website
- The Global Village app
- The ticket counters at the gate
Buying online saves you a few minutes in the queue on busy nights. Ignore social media "offers" asking for more than AED 30. A normal entry ticket never costs more than that.
What the ticket covers, and what it doesn't
Your ticket gets you into the park: the pavilions, the heritage area, the street performers and the main stage shows. You'll pay extra for:
- Carnaval rides, paid per ride or with a ride card
- Ripley's Believe It or Not! and other ticketed attractions
- Food and drinks
- Shopping in the pavilions
Food is where most people overspend. Last season, a simple meal with drinks for two at the Floating Market came to roughly AED 90–120, and it's very easy to keep going back for "just one more" snack.

Season 31 opened on 14 October 2026 and runs until May 2027. The exact closing date is usually announced later in the season.
A note on Tuesdays: Tuesday is for families, couples and ladies only, except on public holidays. If you're a group of men, pick another day.
Do you need a VIP pack?
Probably not. VIP packs aren't a better entry ticket. They're bundles of entry tickets, VIP parking and ride credits, sold online before the season starts, and they sell out quickly. This season they cost roughly AED 1,890 to AED 7,900, and buyers need an Emirates ID. They make sense for residents who visit many times. For a holiday visit, the normal AED 25–30 ticket is all you need.
How to enjoy Global Village without overspending
- Go on a weekday. Monday to Thursday is cheaper and much calmer.
- Arrive around 5 to 6 pm. You'll see the pavilions in daylight, then stay for the lights and fireworks.
- Eat before you go, or choose three or four stalls and share. Grazing is what drains the wallet.
- Bargain in the pavilions, especially later in the evening. The first price is rarely the last.
- Decide your shopping budget before you walk in, and stick to it.
How to get to Global Village
Global Village is in Dubailand, off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311). There's no metro station nearby, so most visitors use:
A taxi or ride-hailing app
like Careem or Uber, which drops you at the gate
RTA seasonal buses
from several metro stations (check RTA for this season's routes)
Their own car.
Parking areas P1, P3 and P5 are free; paid parking closer to the gates costs AED 75–120.
Make a full day of it: a tour in the morning, Global Village at night
Global Village only opens at 4 pm, which leaves your whole morning free. Here are three ways our guests like to fill it:
1. Old Dubai, then Global Village.
Take a half day Dubai city tour from 7:30 am: Al Fahidi, an abra across the creek, the gold and spice souks, then photo stops at Jumeirah and the Palm. You're back by about 1 pm, with time to rest before heading out around 5.
2. Old and new Dubai, then Global Village.
A full day Dubai city tour covers Old Dubai in the morning and the Palm, Dubai Marina and Downtown in the afternoon. On a private tour, we can end the day with a drop-off at Global Village, so you go straight in without a separate taxi. It's a long day, best for energetic travellers.
3. The desert, then Global Village.
A morning desert safari gets you dune bashing, sandboarding and on a camel while it's still cool, and back in the city by midday. After a rest, Global Village fills the evening.
Prefer the desert at sunset? Keep Global Village for another night and book an evening desert safari with BBQ dinner instead. And if you're still working out how many days you need, our Dubai itineraries show what fits into 3 to 7 days.
