Refund Policy

1. How much you get back

Your refund depends on when you tell us. Deadlines count back from the pickup time of your tour, or of the first tour in an itinerary.

The 30% kept from your advance covers the vehicle, driver and activity places we hold for you, which often can't be resold at short notice. Because the balance is only paid on the day, you're never asked to pay it for a tour you've cancelled.

2. Worked examples

For a tour costing AED 1,000, your advance is AED 300 and the balance on the day is AED 700.

• You cancel 3 days before: we keep AED 90 (30% of the advance) and refund AED 210.
• You cancel 10 hours before pickup: the AED 300 advance isn't refunded, and the AED 700 balance isn't charged.
• We cancel because of a sandstorm: you choose a new date, or we refund the full AED 300.

For a 5-day itinerary at AED 995 per person for 2 people (AED 1,990), the advance is AED 597. Cancel 5 days before the first tour and we refund AED 417.90, keeping AED 179.10.

3. Full refunds when we cancel

If we can't run your tour, because of heavy rain, sandstorms, fog, official closures of the desert or roads, or any problem on our side, nothing is deducted. You choose between a new date, a different tour of similar value, or a refund of every dirham you've paid for that tour.

If a single part of the programme is called off on the day, such as one show at the camp, the rest of the tour goes ahead and we offer an alternative where we can.

4. Move your date instead

If you'd still like to do the tour, it's usually better to move it than cancel. Change your date at least 24 hours before pickup and your full advance moves with you, with no charge, as long as there's space on the new date.

5. What can't be refunded

• The advance for cancellations after the deadlines above, and for no-shows, including missing the pickup on a sharing tour.
• Parts of a tour you choose not to use once it has started, such as leaving the desert camp early.
• Attraction tickets bought for you that the attraction itself won't refund.
• Bank or transfer fees charged by your bank or ours for sending a refund abroad.

6. How to ask for a refund

Message us on WhatsApp or email arabianskylinetourism@gmail.com with your name, tour, date and booking reference. We'll confirm the amount you're getting back in writing before we send it.

7. How and when you're paid

• We send refunds by the method you used to pay, or by bank transfer if you paid in cash.
• We start the refund once the amount is confirmed. Card refunds usually show in your account within 7 to 14 working days, depending on your bank.
• Refunds are made in UAE dirhams. If your bank account is in another currency, the amount you receive may differ slightly because of exchange rates.

8. Special circumstances

Serious illness, a cancelled flight or a family emergency can happen to anyone. If something like this forces a late cancellation, tell us as soon as you can. We'll treat each case fairly, which may mean moving your booking or reducing the charge, and may ask for a document such as a medical note or airline notice.
