FAQ
Common questions
Is a day trip to Abu Dhabi from Dubai worth it?
For most visitors, yes. Abu Dhabi feels quite different from Dubai: calmer, more spread out and more focused on culture, and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque alone is a highlight of many UAE trips. The trade-off is a long day, with around 3 to 4 hours of driving in total, so it suits people who don't mind time on the road.
Can you see Abu Dhabi in one day?
You can see the main highlights in one day: the Grand Mosque, Emirates Palace, the Corniche, Heritage Village, and drive-bys of Saadiyat and Yas Island. What you can't fit in is a full visit inside Louvre Abu Dhabi or a theme park. For that, a private tour lets you plan the day around one attraction.
How far is Abu Dhabi from Dubai?
Roughly 130–150 km, depending on where you start in Dubai. The drive usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours each way.
What is the difference between the sharing and private tour?
On the sharing tour you travel with other guests on a set route for AED 145 per person. On the private Abu Dhabi tour you have your own vehicle and driver, and can adjust the timing and stops.
What should I wear to the Grand Mosque?
Long, loose clothing that covers your arms and ankles, for both men and women. Women also need a headscarf. Tight, short or see-through clothes are not allowed.
Do we go inside Ferrari World or Louvre Abu Dhabi?
No. Tickets to these attractions are not included, and the city tour doesn't allow enough time for them. If you want to go inside, a private tour lets you plan the day around them.
Can you pick us up from a cruise ship?
Yes. We collect from the cruise terminal in Dubai and bring you back there. Please share your ship's all-aboard time when you book.
